Welcome to MarketRadar
MarketRadar helps local businesses and SEO agencies understand the competitive landscape for any keyword and location — in about 60 seconds. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to get value from your first briefing.
Step 1: Log in to your account
Go to app.localmarketradar.com and enter your email address. We'll send you a magic link — no password required.
Note: Check your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive within 30 seconds. The link expires after 15 minutes.
Step 2: Open the New Briefing page
Once logged in, you'll land on your dashboard. Click New Briefing in the sidebar or the top navigation to open the briefing form.
Step 3: Enter your briefing details
The briefing form asks for three things:
| Field | What to enter | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword | The service or product you're researching | dentist |
| Location | City, neighborhood, or ZIP code | Phoenix, AZ |
| Data sources | Google, Bing, or Both | Both |
For most use cases, Both gives you the richest data — Google Maps results and Bing Places together show how different engines rank local businesses.
Step 4: Run the briefing
Click Run briefing. Most briefings complete in 30–90 seconds. You'll see a live progress indicator while results load.
Step 5: Review your results
Once the briefing completes you'll see:
- Market Difficulty Score — how competitive this market is (0–100)
- Opportunity Score — how much room exists for a new entrant
- Top businesses — ranked by visibility with scores for reviews, GBP completeness, and local authority
- Market stats — average rating, review counts, and category breakdown
